Last year I self published a photography book. It's the best thing I've ever made. It's a collection of photographs and journal entries. I wanted to make a photography book that wasn't silent. It had to have words. When I take photographs I also record the thoughts that appear out of no where at the same time as the photograph. I don't see them as mine, in the same way that I don't really see these photographs as mine. I didn't make the landscapes or the people in them, I didn't make the camera or the film. I was simply open to being inspired.
